The Story Behind Aroota
Aroota began with Ruchita’s personal journey through infertility and her desire to make more mindful choices while preparing for motherhood.
As she explored the clean beauty space, she discovered a gap: while many brands focused on natural ingredients and cleaner formulations, few were created to truly support women through the different seasons of life from pre-motherhood and postpartum to midlife and beyond.
She wanted skincare that understood a woman’s changing needs not just her skin concerns, but the deeper connection between skin, body, and well-being.
That search led her back to Ayurveda.
Inspired by its timeless wisdom of balance, nourishment, and holistic care, Ruchita created Aroota to bring Ayurvedic rituals into modern women’s lives.

Bakuchiol is a plant-derived compound from the Babchi plant used in Ayurvedic medicine for skin renewal for centuries. A 2018 clinical trial published in the British Journal of Dermatology showed it delivers comparable results to retinol in firming, brightening, and reducing fine lines without the purging, irritation, or photosensitivity. It's also safe for skin that retinol isn't. That's why it's the hero ingredient in our Supercharge Serum.
