Aroota's Magnesium Butter is inspired by Abhyanga, the Ayurvedic practice of anointing the body with warm oil before rest. Traditionally performed at dusk, Abhyanga was never about the skin alone. It was how the day was set down: slow strokes along the limbs, attention moving from the mind back into the body, the nervous system given permission to soften.

We have reimagined it as a butter rich enough to melt on contact and light enough to sink in before you are under the covers. Handcrafted in small batches, it brings together magnesium brine, ashwagandha-infused coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax and Damask rose for skin that feels tight, tired or overworked at the end of a long day.

Ashwagandha is Ayurveda's foremost rasayana, the herb turned to for centuries to settle Vata and restore what a long day takes out of you. It is usually taken at night in warm milk. Here it is slow-infused into fractionated coconut oil instead, so it arrives the way Abhyanga always intended: through the hands, into the skin, at the end of the day rather than the start of it.

Rose, known in Ayurveda as Shatapatri, is the most sattvic of flowers: cooling, Pitta-pacifying, and long used to quiet an overheated mind. It is what turns an ordinary massage into an evening you look forward to.

Eight ingredients. Nothing hiding behind a fragrance label.

Warm a hazelnut-sized amount between your palms until it melts. Massage into the soles of the feet, calves and shoulders using slow, upward strokes. Sixty seconds is enough.
Use nightly, about twenty minutes before bed. Wash hands after applying.
New to topical magnesium? Start every other night on the legs and build from there.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your email request with image, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
